New 2023 Toyota Camry XSE Engine, Redesign, Specs

New 2023 Toyota Camry XSE Engine, Redesign, Specs – Toyota’s RAV4 and Honda’s CR-V have topped the US crossover SUV market, with the 2023 Toyota Camry falling to third position. Although it is no longer the best-selling midsize car, the Toyota Camry remains the most affordable, well-designed, and well-known vehicle in its class. Furthermore, in the higher-end variants of this 9th-generation Camry, Toyota provides a 301-horsepower, 3.5-liter 6-cylinder engine.
There is also a TRD version of the Camry available for those who want the car’s appearance to match its performance capabilities. The 2023 Toyota Camry sedans provide something for everyone, but the Honda Accord, Kia K5, and Hyundai Sonata are all newer vehicles with greater personality. It’s a sporty-looking and thrilling four-door sedan that’s also economical and fuel-efficient enough for daily use.

New 2023 Toyota Camry Features

Toyota’s lesser trim levels feature a good number of basic amenities, while the higher trim levels have a lot more. The LE comes standard with a remote keyless entry system with radar cruise control, a tilt and telescopic multifunction steering wheel with an eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and two USB ports, a standard 12V power output, and dual-zone temperature control as a basic model. The SE variant now has an electronic parking brake and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Sport pedals with patterned metal trim are featured, as are sports seats and a leather shifter for the TRD.

The XSE and XLE now include full-speed dynamic radar cruise control, wireless smartphone charging, and a three-mode setting for Eco, Normal, or Sport. Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+ (pre-collision system with pedestrian recognition), auto high beams, lane-tracing aid (including steering help), dynamic radar cruise control, and road-sign assist are standard safety features on all models. Optional features include a tire-pressure monitoring system and Toyota Safety Sense 2.5. The XSE and XLE come standard with blind-spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert, but the LE and SE can get them as part of a package. The Intelligence Clearance Sonar and Rear Cross-Traffic Braking packages are also available on top-of-the-line vehicles.

Interior

Sleek and quirky, with a significant contrast in materials between the lower and higher trim levels. The lower trim levels employ a lot of rough plastics, but the technological components are expertly put together. The 2023 Toyota Camry is a more sumptuous alternative thanks to its leather seats and soft-touch materials. Our favorite cabins are located in premium models, but the lesser ones have room for improvement. The base model’s features are respectable in comparison to its competitors, but the higher trims are crammed with the most sophisticated technology and convenience features. The ingress and egress are OK, although heavier passengers in the back may have to lean over more than usual due to the sloping roofline.

Engine

When purchasing a 2023 Toyota Camry, you will have a choice between two distinct powertrains. Because of the various powertrain options, engine power and torque ratings vary somewhat across the LE, SE, and XLE trims. LE and SE models with AWD may produce up to 203 horsepower and 182 pound-feet of torque. The XSE operates on a similar basis, but the statistics change significantly. In FWD mode, the XSE produces 206 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. In AWD configuration, it produces 205 horsepower and 185 lb-feet of torque. The standard engine in the Accord produces 192 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque, whereas the base engine in the Mazda 6 produces 187 horsepower and 186 pound-feet of torque. The Camry’s 3.5-liter V6 engine delivers 301 horsepower and 267 pound-feet of torque, which is a significant upgrade over the preceding 2.5-liter V4. The eight-speed automatic transmission, which is available on both the basic engine and the more powerful V6, is simple to use and smooth, but we thought the V6 was better matched to the transmission’s ratios.
